Safety tips

Buying or selling a used Apple device safely.

  1. 1Never share your UPI PIN, OTP or scan unknown QR codes.
  2. 2Do not pay in advance. Inspect the device in person before paying.
  3. 3Meet in a public place during the day, ideally with someone else.
  4. 4Ask the seller to switch the device on and check Activation Lock is OFF.
  5. 5Check battery health in Settings → Battery → Battery Health.
  6. 6Verify the serial number in Settings → General → About.
  7. 7Test the camera, speakers, charging port and Face ID.
  8. 8Report suspicious listings — press the report link on the listing.
